Beta 2 Released
November 16, 2005
We received a good round of initial feedback and tackled some bugs that hindered some in the downloadable version of Test Run to get started more quickly. In addition we received some execllent feature request. It was our hunch that I would need to implement the features requests we received at some point, but it makes a big difference when a customer asks for them specifically.
Thanks to all of you that provided us feedback on Test Run Beta 1. Your help, input and insight is very valuable to us. Test Run Beta 2 is now available for download.
Change Log
- Revised all instances of
<?=to<php echo. This conforms to PHP’s recommended best practices, and obviates the need to instruct non-standard PHP installations to recognize the<=shorthand. - Revised all code headers to reflect proper copyright and product name
- Added select all capability to tables that support checkboxes
- Added batch operations to test plans (Add, Delete, Pass, Fail, Reassign). This greatly speeds up the testing process.
- Added a “test execution toolbar” for lack of a better term to the “Test Case Details” page. This toolbar allows engineers to flag a test as “passed” or “failed” from the detailed view of a test case, and/or skip execution of the next and to go to the next test case in the list. This is helpful because the test case details page has execution instructions included within in, something missing from the tabular view, and something that in undoubtedly helpful during test execution.
- Fixed the setup.php script to make a proper call to mysql_connect, which was preventing the setup process from running properly.
- Fixed a number of bugs scattered through out application
